According to whistle blowing NGO Safeguard Defenders, Chinese quasi-police stations have been established throughout the globe and “Chinese authorities claim that from April 2021 to July 2022, 230,000 nationals had been “persuaded to return” to face criminal proceedings in China”. One of the police stations is in New York city, home of many Uyghur and the Shen Yun dance company.
